General Tap Installation

Tools Required

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Basin wrench
  • Plumber's tape (PTFE tape)
  • Screwdriver
  • Bucket and towel
  • Flashlight

Steps

1. Turn off water supply - Close the isolation valves or main water shutoff 2. Remove old tap - Disconnect water supply lines and remove mounting nuts 3. Clean the surface - Remove old sealant and debris from the sink/countertop 4. Install mounting hardware - Follow the product instructions for gaskets and O-rings 5. Position the tap - Insert through mounting holes and secure from below 6. Connect water supply - Attach flexible hoses, use plumber's tape on threads 7. Check for leaks - Turn water on slowly and inspect all connections 8. Test operation - Check both hot and cold water, verify smooth handle operation

Wall Mounted Tap Installation

Wall-mounted taps require special preparation:

  • Water supply pipes must be pre-installed inside the wall at correct height
  • Wall mounting bracket must be securely fixed to wall studs
  • Professional installation strongly recommended

LED Tap Installation

LED taps with hydroelectric technology:

  • No batteries required - power is generated by water flow
  • Standard installation with no extra wiring
  • LED color may change based on water temperature
  • Ensure proper water flow for LED activation

Automatic / Sensor Tap Installation

Sensor taps may require:

  • Battery installation (check product specifications)
  • Sensor calibration after installation
  • Clean sensor window regularly to maintain performance
  • Some models require AC power adapter

Maintenance Tips

  • Clean regularly with soft cloth and mild soap - avoid abrasive cleaners
  • Check connections annually for any signs of leakage
  • Replace O-rings if dripping occurs
  • Clean aerator if water flow reduces over time
